Begin with a warm greeting and a brief discussion about what "worship" means in a simple and age-appropriate manner. - "Worship is a special way people show their love and respect for their beliefs and what they think is important." 2. Explain that people go to different special places to worship. These places can look different but are all important. ### Main Activity (20 minutes) #### 1. Picture Discussion (10 minutes) - Show pictures of a church, mosque, and temple one by one. - "This is a church. Some people go to church to pray and sing songs." - "This is a mosque. Some people go to a mosque to pray and listen to teachings." - "This is a temple. Some people go to a temple to pray and do special ceremonies." - For each picture, ask: - What do you see in this picture? - Have you seen a place like this before? - What do you think people do here? - Emphasize that although these places look different, they are all important and special places where people show love and respect. #### 2. Flashcard Matching Game (5 minutes) - Lay out the flashcards with the names "Church," "Mosque," and "Temple." - Hold up pictures one at a time and ask the students to match the picture to the correct flashcard. #### 3. Coloring Activity (5 minutes) - Hand out coloring sheets with the images of a church, mosque, and temple. - Allow students to color the images while explaining: - "When we color these pictures, we show respect and appreciation for all the different places people go to worship." ### Conclusion (5 minutes) 1. Recap by showing the pictures again and asking: - "Can you tell me what this place is called?" - "What do people do there?" 2. Thank the students for participating and remind them of the importance of respecting all places of worship. ### Assessment - Observe students during the flashcard matching game to see if they can correctly identify and name each place of worship. - Ask simple questions during the recap to check their understanding. ### Follow-Up Activities - Arrange a simple visit (virtual or real) to a local place of worship if possible. - Read a storybook that includes different places of worship and discuss it with the students. ### Additional Notes - Adapt the content and pace according to the needs and understanding of the students. - Make sure to use inclusive language and examples that reflect the diverse nature of worship places.
